<p>A lightweight low-cost instrument needing no light guides for illuminating the front panel. The apparatus is provided with a circuit board (1), an instrument body (3) having a driving shaft (2) extending toward the front and disposed on the circuit board (1), a pointer (4) attached to the end of the driving shaft (2), a front panel (5) disposed between the pointer (4) and the circuit board (1) and having a display part (52) corresponding to the pointer (4), a light source (6) disposed in front of the circuit board (1) nearer to the driving shaft (2) than the display part (52) and illuminating at least the display part (52), and a reflecting body (7) disposed between the front panel (5) and the circuit board (1). The reflecting body (7) has a first reflecting part (75) reflecting illuminating light from the light source (6) toward the periphery and opposed to the light source (6) and a second reflecting part (77) extending toward the periphery, surrounding the light source (6) with a space from the front panel (5), and reflecting the illuminating light toward the front panel (5).</p> |
