The system connects a portable unit (1A) electrically and mechanically with an accessories section (2A) which has an aperture (6A) sized to match the contours of the transceiver. The accessories include a set of contacts (3) and a lock (7), which project through an aperture of the recording shell. The portable unit includes respectively a corresponding opposite set of contacts (4) and a corresponding opposite lock (8). The set of contacts of the accessories consists preferably of a multi-pole plug and a coaxial plug, while the opposite set of contacts of the mobile communication instrument comprises corresponding sockets.
