<p>A surface-mount antenna (1) comprises first and second radiating electrodes (5, 6) formed on the upper surface (2c) of a dielectric base (2), and a matching circuit (7) formed on a side (2b). This structure facilitates providing the matching circuit (7) suitably adapted for the surface-mount antenna (1), thus providing desirable impedance matching for the surface-mount antenna (1). In addition, the influence of the matching circuit (7) on the first and second radiation electrodes (5, 6) on the upper surface (2c) can be decreased since the matching circuit (7) is located on the side (2b) of the dielectric base (2). As a result, the gain and bandwidth of the surface-mount antenna (1) increase.</p> |
