The greenhouse or department store incorporates several, adjacent gutters or channels (1), to each of which an outlet is connected comprising a trough with upright walls (17-19) and base (16) with outlet beneath a hole (13) in the gutter or channel. The base has a through passage (25), to which an outlet pipe is connected. The gutters or channels are each supported by a series of columns or similar. A cover is provided between each pair of adjacent gutters or channels. Head fronts run vertically to the channels and side fronts run parallel to the channels. The trough (2) is suspended on the gutter or channel and one wall (17) of the trough is fixed to a head end (43) of the gutter or channel. At least one of the other walls (18,19) is fixed at a distance from the gutter or channel, leaving a free space between them.
