EXECUTION FILE CONVERSION METHOD FOR TESTING MICROPROCESSOR

PURPOSE: An execution file conversion method for testing a microprocessor is provided to reduce the ROM production according to the program modification for every test and the development time by converting the Intel HEX(Hexadecimal) file format using for a microprocessor test. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises steps of reading an Intel HEX record after opening the Intel HEX file for an operation test of microprocessor(ST1-ST2), searching the format of read record(ST3), producing a real address by combing a segment address and relative segment address if the searched record format is not '00' and generating a 'S-' record according to the real address(ST4-ST6), and setting a cipher of address field if the searched record format is not '01' and generating a 'S0' record after storing the segment address(ST7-ST9).
