PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separate type floor mat, and an automobile floor mat base and a surface material sheet usable for the floor mat simultaneously satisfying the improvement of fall and movement preventiveness of the surface material sheet, mounting workability of the surface material sheet in manufacture or detaching and mounting workability of the surface material sheet in replacing work without inconvenience in appearance and feeling in use. SOLUTION: This floor mat 10 comprises a floor mat base 1 having one partner 3a in a pair of recessed and projecting type fitting means, at a contact face with a surface material sheet 2, and the surface material sheet 2 having the other partner 4a in a pair of recessed and projecting type fitting means, at a contact face with the floor mat base 1. The surface material sheet 2 is held onto the floor mat base 1 by fitting the partner 3a of the floor mat base 1 to the partner 4a of the surface material sheet 2.
