PURPOSE:To relax the generation of linear cutting in recording paper, for example, when the straight line right-angled to the feed direction of recording paper is printed. CONSTITUTION:The discharge sequence successively performing the operation applying voltage across the respective needle like electrodes in one group and the auxiliary electrodes corresponding to the needle like electrodes with respect to each of groups is determined so that the magnitude of the difference between the sequence not continuously performing operation with respect to the adjacent groups but performing operation with respect to one of the adjacent groups and the sequence performing operation with respect to the other group becomes half or less the total number of the groups. By successively generating discharge with respect to the respective groups according to this discharge sequence, the electrostatic latent image corresponding to one line is formed on recording paper. |
