PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly collect residual stacked papers and new paper sheet stacked papers in the replacement of stacked papers in a paper sheet feeding device provided on a paper sheet processing machine. SOLUTION: This paper sheet feeding device comprises a nonstop device 3, and a support rod 1 driven by a motor is used in order to temporarily receive residual stacked papers R in the mounting of new paper sheet stacked papers S. In the integration of the residual stacked papers R with the paper sheet stacked papers S, a detecting device 11 monitors the vertical movement of the support rod 7 provided on the nonstop device 3 to prevent the support rod 7 from being held up. In the whole process of stacked paper replacement, a circuit device monitors the movement of the support rod 7.
