PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent short circuit of a conductive terminal by installing an engaging surface for coming in contact with at least one fixing block in at least one panel of a conductive outside shield. SOLUTION: A conductive outside shield 46 envelopes an insulating housing 42 to decrease electromagnetic interference. The housing 42 has, for example, a base part 50 and a pair of fixing blocks 82 to regulate the insertion movement of the housing 42 into the shield 46 and to fix the position of the shield 42. The fixing blocks 82 are projected to the rear of a terminal, have the dimension for separating the shield 46 from a tail part 58, and a rear panel 72 is brought into contact with the rear surface of each of the fixing blocks 82 to prevent short circuit of the terminal. Side panels 62, 64 of the shield 46 have a notch for forming supporting edges 84, 86, come in contact with the front of the fixing blocks 82 to prevent furthermore movement in the rear direction of the shield 46, and keep a separation state of the terminal from the lower panel of the shield 46. |
