PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device making neglect of mounting of a fixing device and a drum cartridge detectable at a low cost, and making space save feasible. SOLUTION: In this image forming device, the fixing device 26 is attached to a printer 10, and when the drum cartridge 42 in nor attached to the printer 10, a cartridge lever 46 is abutted to a second arm 54, so as to make a front cover 36 being impossible to open. On the other hand when the drum cartridge is attached to the printer 10, and the fixing device 26 is nor attached to the printer 10, a fixing position aligning lever 44 is abutted to a first arm 40, so that the front cover 36 can not be closed.
