PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a plasma display panel capable of reducing manufacturing processes with the use of simplified and downsized manufacturing facility. SOLUTION: A thin film for a transparent electrode is placed on a front glass substrate plate 16, and irradiated with a laser beam 64 to X direction continuously as well as to Y direction at predetermined intervals so that the thin film remains on a liner irradiation are laser beam 64. Thus, a transparent electrode 18 can be formed. A locating mark 19 is formed on a transparent electrode substrate plate 46 by the same device, same materials and same processes used for forming the transparent electrode 18. A mask 66 and an opening 72, which are used for forming the transparent electrode 18, can be also used.
