PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device for changing the frequencies of a clock signal itself inputted to a CPU according to a peripheral device to be processed without using any wait controller. SOLUTION: A semiconductor device is provided with a CPU 1, an address decoder 3 for decoding an address signal from the CPU 1, and outputting an address region specific signal, a frequency-divider 7, and a selecting circuit for selecting which of a reference clock signal and a frequency-divided clock signal should be inputted to the CPU 1 according to the address region specific signal.
