PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass waveguide module which is short in rising time and is small in electric power consumption and a process for producing the same. SOLUTION: With this glass waveguide module, a gelatinous resin 21 is packed as a thermally insulating material into a package 14 of a glass waveguide module 20 constituted by building the array type glass waveguide 1 mounted with a heater 13 into the package 14, by which the gelatinous resin 21 is closely and sufficiently packed into the package 14 and, therefore, the heat of the heater 13 is rapidly transmitted to the array type glass waveguide 1. Consequently, the glass waveguide module 20 which is short in the rising time and is small in the electric power consumption may be obtained. |
