PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform management so as to easily retrieve and confirm where is a specified document at present. SOLUTION: Document management data including status information for indicating the present location of a slip are prepared by processing the slip received in a business office 1 by a scanner 7 and are preserved in a storage means 10. Also, a sending slip on which an office number for specifying the business office and a sending slip number are printed is attached to the document packaged for respective kinds at the time of document delivery. When the package of the document is delivered in an order from the respective business offices 1 to an area center 2 and centers 3-5 for respective functions, the slip management data are transferred from the business offices 1 to the area center 2 and from the area center 2 to a tax center 3, a changeover center 4 and a transfer center 5, etc., and the pieces of status information preserved in the respective storage means 10, 13, 16, 19 and 22 are updated corresponding to the delivery. |
