PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a capacitor for making a stroboscope emit light from obstructing the miniaturization of a camera by applying a capacitor whose space efficiency is excellent as the capacitor for making the electronic flash emit light and considering the arrangement thereof. SOLUTION: The flat capacitor 15 is applied to this camera as the capacitor for charging the stroboscope in order to make it emit light. The capacitor 15 is housed in the grip part 1a of a camera main body 1. Besides, a cartridge chamber 6 and two batteries 9 are also arranged at the grip part 1a. Then, the capacitor 15 is arranged in the grip part 1a in a posture that it becomes in parallel with a lens optical axis 0 by setting the main plane surface 15b thereof along the axis of the chamber 6.
