PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To costlessly reform a flat slate roof by providing a lower seam part of a lateral seam at the upper part of a body, an upper seam part of the lateral seam at the lower part, an upper seam part of a vertical seam at one side, and a lower seam part of the vertical seam at the other side. SOLUTION: This reform member 10 is provided with a body 12 as a chief part, an upright part 14 erected from the upper end of the body 12, a lower seam part (throating) 20 having an L-shaped section of a lateral seam turned up to this side from the upper end of the upper part 16, and an upper seam part 18 having an L-shaped section of the lateral seam turned down inward from the lower end of the body 12. An upper seam part 22 of the vertical seam having an L-shaped section is formed at the left side of the body 12, and a lower seam part 24 of the vertical seam having a compressed C-shaped section. In this way, a reform member 10 is mounted on an existing slate board and fixed thereto. Thereafter, the same procedure is repeated to complete reforming in an extremely simple work and less man-hours.
