PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for refining glass or ceramics at a high temperature. SOLUTION: This device includes a melting device 1 and at least two units of refining devices 3 connected to the outlet end of the melting device. At least one of the refining devices is made from plural metallic pipes constituting a coolant connector as a part and a high-frequency device for inducting and coupling high-frequency energy to the content of the melting device.
