PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation button section thinnable without deteriorating reliability and operability such as durability and a click feeling in a portable information apparatus having the operation button section such as a cellular phone. SOLUTION: This portable information apparatus is provided with a circuit board 20 for function control and a rubber button section 21 made of an elastic material such as rubber and overlapped on the circuit board 20. A contact circuit 24 is arranged on the circuit board 20 so as to be closed when the rubber button section 21 is depressed, and an air vent hole 25 for releasing the retained air of the rubber button section 21 when the rubber button section 21 is depressed is provided at a position adjacent to the contact circuit 24 on the circuit board 20.
