PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a starter device for giving no influence on a X-ray tube if a power supply for an X-ray high voltage device is cut off when a rotary anode of the X-ray tube is in a high speed rotating condition. SOLUTION: When a rotary anode is controlled to be kept in a high speed rotating condition by a starter device 40, if a power-off switch 13 is pushed, a power switch 3 is turned off via a power-on/off control circuit 21 and a switch 66 for the starter device 40 is turned off. However, the starter device 40 is kept driven because a switch 67 is still on. A CPU 47 recognizes that the power- off switch 13 is pushed, supplies braking power to a stator 34 via an output circuit 51 to brake an anode 32, and then turns a switch 69 off via an output circuit 53 and a starter power-off circuit 27 and a power supply for the starter device 40 off.
