PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a sensor plate that can easily retain a specimen material and has improved sensitivity. SOLUTION: The sensor plate is provided with a plate-shaped optical waveguide 3 where light entering from a specific side end face is transmitted while repeating total reflection, a specimen material retention part 7 for retaining the liquid-like specimen material at a specific position on the upper surface of the optical waveguide 3, and a hydrophobic film 5 for covering the upper surface of the optical waveguide 3 excluding the specimen material retention part 7, where the specimen material retention part 7 is set to specific length along the propagation direction of light.
