PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a device for fixed point working of high working accuracy, large pressurizing force and small driving energy by moving a slider with a first drive means near to a prescribed position and moving the slider with a second drive means to the prescribed position. SOLUTION: A clutch 63 is actuated to shut off the connection of a flywheel 64 and crank shaft 5. A motor is started in a no-load state to rotate the flywheel 64 at a prescribed number of revolutions. The crank shaft 5 is in a brake state at an upper stop point and a presser 71 exists in an initial position HO. The clutch 63 is released and the flywheel 64 and the crank shaft 5 are connected. The crank shaft 5 revolves and the slider 7 is lowered through an interlocking rod 9, a quill 10 and a differential male screw 13. The presser 71 is lowered near to the fixed point working position from the initial position HO. This position is inputted to a CPU which impresses the prescribed number of pulses to a pulse motor 23. The presser 71 is lowered to the fixed point working position H by the rotation of the worm shaft, worm, worm wheel and differential member. The presser 71 is brought into abutment on the workpiece W.
