PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reducing method of inclusion in molten metal, by which power operatable to the inclusion in the molten metal can be displayed and separation and removal of the inclusion from the molten metal are promoted with this power. SOLUTION: This reducing method of the inclusion in the molten metal is executed by positioning the molten metal containing the inclusion in a gradient of a magnetic field. In further detail, difference of magnetizations acted to respective molten metal and inclusion laid on the gradient of the magnetic field, is utilized to separate the inclusion from the molten metal. For enlarging the gradient of the magnetic field, intensity of the magnetic field is enlarged and length of coils in the electromagnet is desirable to shorten. As the electromagnet, with which the intensity of the magnetic field can be enlarged, a superconducting magnet 8 is the most desirable one.
