PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new serine protease which contains PA protein of an influenza virus or its partial peptide, and can be used for screening an anti- influenza virus agent using the activity inhibition as an index. SOLUTION: This is a new serine protease which contains PA protein of an influenza virus or its partial peptide, and is useful for screening an anti- influenza virus agent which inhibits the infection of an influenza virus using the activity inhibition of the enzyme as an index, etc. This enzyme is obtained by extracting RNA from a cell in which RNA polymerase PA subunit (PA) of influenza virus strain A/PR8/34 (H1N1) is expressed, preparing a cDNA library using the RNA, screening the library using its partial sequence as a probe, transferring the obtained gene into a vector to transduce it into a host cell, followed by culturing the obtained cell. |
