PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent printing troubles without the need of accuracy in paper feeding by displacing a printing head in the direction parallel with a pixel row after supplying ink droplets to a strip of a pixel line, supplying supplementary ink droplets to the strip, and displacing the printing head by the same distance as the width of a pixel line. SOLUTION: In the case of for example, printing two supplementary sub images in two stages according to a chess board pattern on a substrate with a seven pixel line by six pixel row size position, ink droplets are supplied to a first pixel line from a nozzle 1, and to a second pixel line from a nozzle 2. In the same manner, nozzles 2-8 are displaced with respect to the substrate corresponding to pixel lines 1-7. As to a printing head with a dislocated nozzle 4 is displaced by the amount corresponding to a pixel line in the second stage. As a result, ink droplets with the dislocation are dispersed in the pixel rows 2, 4, 6 in a vertical pair so that the ink droplets with the dislocation can be dispersed evenly in several pixel rows.
