PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drop-off type plug outlet of which a mechanical fixing of a plug with a receptacle is firm, yet the can drop off from the receptacle before damaging anything when an excessive tensile force is put on a cord of the plug. SOLUTION: The drop-off type plug outlet 7 provided with a plug 5 having a plug terminal 53a electrically connected to a cord 54 and a receptacle 3 equipped with a receptacle terminal 30 electrically connected to an inner connection wire 34 of an electric equipment or the like and fixed to the electric equipment, is further provided with an elastic coupling 52 screwing down the plug and the receptacle. The coupling is equipped with a female screw 56 partially arranged on its inner wall to be tied with a male screw 31 fitted to the receptacle and a slit 55 is arranged around the female screw.
