PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To start an information processor even at the time of causing a memory failure, and to make rewritable a BIOS in a BIOS storing means (flash ROM or the like) while continuing the operation of the OS of the information processor. SOLUTION: At the time of starting the information processor, a BIOS developing means 51 suppresses the processing of a CPU 3, and initializes a memory 1, and develops a BIOS stored in a flash memory ROM 6 to the memory 1. A memory failure countermeasure means 52 stores failure information communicated from a memory controller 2 in a failure information storing means 7, and at the time of detecting that any failure is caused in a memory region where the BIOS is developed based on failure information in the failure information storing means 7 at the time of starting the information processor, the memory failure countermeasure means 52 changes the storage part of the BIOS on the memory 1 to a memory region in which any failure is not caused. A BIOS rewriting means 53 rewrites the BIOS in the flash ROM 6 while maintaining the operation of the OS. |
