AUTOMATED MOLD CHANGING SYSTEM FOR CONCRETE MOLDING MACHINES

A concrete product molding machine (10) has a mold removal and replacement mechanism which includes a transfer carriage (TC) movable from a location remote from mold supports (13) on the machine on a pathway leading longitudinally abeam of the mold supports. A transversely movable cross carriage (CC) is transported on the transfer carriage. A motor mechanism is activated for moving the carriages to a position adjacent a mold, and an elevator platform (MSP) is raised to deposit the mold thereon. The carriages are then moved to a position adjacent to a mold deposit and replacement station (65) and the elevator is lowered to deposit the mold thereon.
