The pump has a housing shell (12) with a connecting lid (11). The lid has an earth connection (22) which is electrically connected via a connecting element (43) to the inner wall (35) of the housing shell. The connecting element positively engages in a contact element which is operatively connected to the inner wall of the housing shell. The contact element may be a magnet holder (40) with a contact surface (41) lying on the inner wall of the housing shell. The magnet holder comprises a receptacle (50) which clamps and partially encloses the connecting element.
