PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve the uniformity in grinding without impairing the work by an abrasive grain layer by radially arranging plural abrasive grain layers at intervals in a monolayer grinding wheel having the abrasive grain layers formed by dispersing very fine abrasive grain into a metallic bond phase, on a base metal. SOLUTION: A wheel 20 is formed by mounting an abrasive grain layer 21 formed by three concentric ring-shaped layers on an outer circumferential side of an approximately disc-shaped surface 12a of a disc-shaped base metal 12. The abrasive grain layer 21 has a first abrasive grain layer 21A having a maximum diameter on the outermost circumferential side, and a second abrasive grain layer 21B is formed inside thereof at an interval. A third abrasive grain layer 21C having a minimum diameter is formed at the innermost side, and the first through third abrasive grain layers are concentric circles. As a monolayer grinding wheel has plural abrasive grain layers radially arranged at intervals, the sum of the grinding lengths of abrasive grain layer areas of the monolayer grinding wheel in the direction approximately in parallel to the relative moving direction of a member to be ground, can be approximately uniformly set, and the ununiformity in working amount in each area can be improved. |
