PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hold reliably an incense in an incense insertion hole and extend in a desired direction along a common center line by forming the incense insertion hole having a prescribed length from the end face of each assembly slit and having a sectional shape corresponding to the number of plate members assembled. SOLUTION: Two plate members 2 and 3 have assembly slits S having width nearly equal to the thickness (t) of the plate member along a common center lineαperpendicular to one sides of the rectangles and bisecting equally the area of the rectangles, and an incense holder 1 is formed by assembling them in a manner that allows them cross each other through the slits S. The assembly slits S form incense insertion holes H1 and H2 having a polygonal cross section corresponding to the number of plate members assembled, by the insertion portion of an incense IN having an end face on the same plane and having a prescribed length from the end face. The incense IN is held reliably in the incense insertion holes.
