PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyisocyanate composition the solubility of which a low-polarity solvent is compatible with the curability of a coating film by incorporating a compound prepared from a monohydric alcohol and an aliphatic and/or alicyclic diisocyanate and having allophanate groups and a compound prepared from a polyhydric alcohol and a diisocyanate and having allophanate groups into the same and by specifying the number of isocyanate groups. SOLUTION: This composition comprises compounds represented by formulas I and II, both being soluble in a low-polarity organic solvent, has 2.40-12.00 isocyanate groups per molecule, and is used as a curing agent for a polyurethane resin. The low-polarity organic solvent is an organic solvent containing an aliphatic, an alicyclic and/or an aromatic hydrocarbon solvent and has an aniline point of 10-70 deg.C and a weak solvency. In the formulas, R1 and R3 are each a hydroxyl-removed residue of a monohydric or polyhydric alcohol; R2 is an isocyanate-removed residue of an aliphatic or alicyclic diisocyanate; and (n) is 2-10, being equal to the number of hydroxyl groups.
