PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To support a load proportioning an unbalance load even when the attitude variation position of a work support member is changed and a load by rotation of a work support member is changed and effectively reduce a load exerted on a servo motor. SOLUTION: This support device is provided with load reducing mechanisms 18A and 18B to support a work support member 12 when the work support member 12 to support a work 13 is rotated around a horizontal one axis by a servo motor 15 and varies an attitude and arranged prescribed attitude variation positions P1 and P2, and reduce load exerted on the servo motor 15 through operation of an elastic member 25. When the work support member 12 is varied in an attitude from a central original position P3 to two attitude variation positions P1 and P2 on both sides, the load reducing mechanisms 18A and 18B are situated corresponding to the respective attitude variation positions P1 and P2 on both sides of attitude variation operation of the work support member 12.
