PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject octahydropyridopyrazine derivative that has the affinity to serotonin receptor, particularly serotonin 1a receptor, and accordingly is useful for treating diseases caused by serotonin-based impediment, for example, migraine, headache and the like by using a specific compound. SOLUTION: This compound is represented by the formula (Ar is phenyl, naphthyl, benzoxazolonyl or the like; Ar1 is phenyl, pyridinyl, pyridazinyl or the like; A is O, S, SO or the like; n is 0, 1 or 2), suitably (7S,9aS)-7-[(3- methylphenoxy)methyl-2-(5-fluoropyrimidin-2-yl)-2,3,4,6,7,8,9,9a-octah ydro-1H- pyrido[1,2-a]pyrazine or the like and further includes the diasteretomers or optical isomers thereof or their pharmaceutically acceptable salts.
