PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate Karman vortex causing a wind noise to effectively reduce the noise. SOLUTION: The upper surface 18 of a cross bar 12 is formed into a upwardly smooth projected surface on the vehicle-front side of a roof rack 16. At the front part of the undersurface 20 of the cross bar 12, an air flow compression surface 22 at which a face recessed in the direction of a cross-sectional center 12A is formed, is formed to guide and compress the air flow from the front to the loof 11 side. An air flow guide surface 24, the cross-sectional form of which is formed into a smooth circular arc-like, recessed surface, is formed at the longitudinal central part of the undersurface 20 to guide the compressed air flow backward. Further, an air flow separating part 26 formed as a notch having a step is formed at the rear part of the undersurface 20 to separate the air flow from the front from the cross bar 12.
