<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a can lid wherein a hidden code mark, which can not be recognized visually under a normal state, can be easily formed. SOLUTION: In this can lid 1 which is fixed to the opening end of a can body wherein a transparent coated film is formed on the external surface of a metal base material, at a specified location of the external surface under a state being fixed to the can body, a code mark 15 which is engraved at least one section of the transparent coated film with a laser beam, is applied.
