PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a high bulk density granular detergent composition which uses a water-soluble inorganic builder, has an excellent washing performance, and has an excellent property for preventing a detergent composition caking phenomenon caused by the storage of the detergent composition, by compounding a specific anionic surfactant, a nonionic surfactant, and a modified silicate in a specific ratio. SOLUTION: This high bulk density granular detergent composition comprises (A) one or more kinds of anionic surfactants such asα-sulfofatty acid alkyl esters andα-olefin sulfonates, (B) a nonionic surfactant, and (C) 1 to 50 wt.% of a modified silicate in a component A/B ratio of 95/5 to 5/95 in an (A+B) amount of 10 to 40 wt.%. The component C has a chemical composition of the formula: nSiO2.mAl2O3.M2O.pRO.qH2O [(n) is 3 to 5; (m) and (p) are each 0.006 to 0.1; (q) is <=10] and has D in a range of >=75%. The D is expressed by the equation: D=[S4/(S6+S4)]×100 (S6 and S4 are peak areas in chemical shift ranges: 30 to -50 ppm and 30 to 100 ppm, respectively, by 27 Al solid NMR). |
