A method for setting precious stones in a support element is provided to keep the clean and smooth shape without deforming materials of a decorated surface of the support element adjacent to the precious stones. A method for setting precious stones in a support element(1) comprises the steps of: milling a recessed groove(6) on a first surface(8) of the support element; piercing a second surface(12) of the support element opposite to the first surface, wherein each perforated hole of the second surface has a diameter corresponding to the diameter of a girdle of the precious stone and opens toward the inside of the recessed groove, and the bottom of the hole forms a support wall(14) for crowns of each precious stone; forming grains on the inside of the second surface of the support element adjacently to the support walls; setting the precious stone in the hole to make the crown of the precious stone adjacent to the support walls of each hole; and pressing each grain to a culasse of the precious stone to fix the precious stones in the support element. |
