PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a sink with a tableware washing machine which is capable of rapidly removing dirt, does not occupy a place at the time of preliminary washing and is good in operability. SOLUTION: A tableware cage which allows the arrangement of the contaminated surface of tableware toward approximately the front direction of a sink section 3 is set in a washing tank. Water is injected in this state from diagonally above toward the contaminated surface of the tableware by a shower nozzle 5 set at faucet. As a result, the preliminary washing of the tableware is carried out. After the end of the preliminary washing by the shower nozzle 5, an aperture 4 of the washing tank is closed by a lid 4a and the tableware is automatically washed. The washing operation is then ended.
