PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a photograph photosensitive material spectral-sensitized to a higher sensitivity without deteriorating its stock stability or its fog by blending a methine pigment. SOLUTION: This silver halide photograph photosensitive material contains a methine pigment of formula I, II, or III having a hydroxyl amine of formula IV, V or VI and a group derived from their derivatives in the molecule. In the formulas, Z1 to Z5 are each a nonmetallic atom group forming a 5-membered or 6-membered complex ring containing a nitrogen; Q1-Q3 are each a nonmetallic atom group; M1 and M2 are each an electric-charge-neutralizing counter ion; n1 and n2 are each 0 or more; L1-L12 are each a methine group or a substituted methine group; u1-u5 are each 0 or 1; S is 0-4; (r) is 0 or 1; t1 is 0-4; t2 is 0-3; v1 and v2 are each 0-2; R1, R2, R4 and R5 are each an aliphatic group, formula IV, V or VI, while both R1 and R2 or both R4 and R5 are not aliphatic groups; R3 is formula IV, V or VI; J1-J3 are each a bivalent coupling group; and Ra1, Ra2 and Ra3 are each an alkyl, an alkenyl, an aryl, an acryl, an amino, an alkoxy, a hydroxylamino, H or the like.
