TREATMENT FOR FACILITATING BONDING BETWEEN GOLF BALL LAYERS AND RESULTANT GOLF BALLS

A multilayer golf ball which comprises a core having a treated surface and a cover layer having a plurality of dimples. The multilayer golf balls may alternatively or additionally be formed suchthat at least one layer of the core has a treated surface and is bonded to an adjacent layer. The treatment facilitates bonding between the layers and is preferably plasma treating, corona discharge treating or chemical treating.
