The invention concerns a tunnel kiln (10) open at its two ends, comprising means for conveying objects (11) arranged between two side walls (14) of the tunnel kiln, and radiating heating means (20) constituted by infrared elements lining each of the side walls (14). The invention is characterised in that the tunnel kiln (10) further comprises a retractable thermal screen system (25) capable of being arranged in front of all or part of the radiating surface of some of the radiating elements (20), said thermal screen system involving the two side walls (14). Said thermal screen system enables to line with a heat-shrinkable sleeve objects with complex shapes, in particular with downward facing taper. |
