摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device which precisely detects a touched position and suitably performs the liquid crystal display. SOLUTION: Between plural cell electrodes 12 and 13 placed opposite to each other and charged with a liquid crystal, the liquid crystal display 1 is equipped with spherical members 16 which keep the distance between the cell electrodes 12 and 13 and conductive spherical members 17 which short-circuit the both cell electrodes 12 and 13 when one electrode side out of the cell electrodes 12 and 13 is pushed to the other electrode side. In the case a driving voltage is applied between the cell electrodes 12 and 13, existence of pressure and pressed cells are detected by detecting the generation of the short circuit between the cell electrodes 12 and 13. Consequently driving of the liquid crystal display is carried out and at the same time the external pressure and the pressed cells are detected on the basis of existence of the short circuit between the cell electrodes 12 and 13 so as to display and precisely detect the touched position.
