PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for measuring a bar-like cutting tool capable of automatically measuring a shape parameter of the tool when observed from a direction different from a view point of a television camera. SOLUTION: An image processor of the apparatus for measuring a bar-like cutting tool selects a plurality of measuring points necessary to calculate shape parameter to be measured at an image photographed by two television cameras 31, 32, measures a three-dimensional coordinates of the plurality of the points, projects the plurality of the points to a view point coordinate system set based on the designated view point, and processes to measure the parameter at an end of the tool based on the three-dimensional coordinates of the plurality of the points projected to the view point coordinate system.
