PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically store the copy of a presented document in the form of image data by transporting the sheet of paper to a read execution position following a printing execution position and successively performing printing onto the sheet of paper and the read of the printed result. SOLUTION: After a printing key is pressed, a printing setting screen is displayed for instance and whether to take the copy of the presented document is set in addition to the setting of a font and the printing number of copies, etc. In the case that it is indicated that the copy of the presented document is to by taken, actual printing and the read of the printed result are started by pressing the completion key of printing setting or the like. The printing and the read of the printed result are successively performed by successively reading the parts of the sheet 16 of paper on which the printing is completed by a scanner 3 standing by in the downstream of a printer 4. The image of the presented document read in such a manner is tentatively stored in a RAM, a document name is attached and the image is preserved as the copy of the presented document in a removable medium such as a floppy dick by using a floppy dick device. |
