PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically perform offset correction at an arbitrary ambient temperature. SOLUTION: A temperature detector is provided with an ideal value calculating section 4 which calculates an ideal value that is the output value of an amplifier circuit 2 in the case where it is considered that the ambient temperature of a temperature detecting element Q1 lies in the detected temperature of an external device and the offset of the circuit 22 has been corrected when a value given from a temperature measuring instrument 17 and indicating the ambient temperature of the element Q1 is used as the detected temperature of the external device, a correction value calculating section 5 which calculates the output correction value indicating the difference between the output value of the circuit 2 when the ambient temperature of the element Q1 lies in the detected temperature of the external device and the ideal output value, and a correction value memory 6 which stores the output correction value. When the temperature detector makes temperature detection, the detector corrects the output value of the amplifier circuit 2 by using the output correction value stored in the memory 6 and finds the temperature from the corrected result. |
