CURSOR LOCATION CONTROL APPARATUS FOR COMMUNICATION EQUIPMENTS

PURPOSE: A cursor location control apparatus for communication equipments is provided to minimize the movement of a cursor location to confirm a called subscriber's phone number by making the cursor located at the most right digit displayed on an LCD panel, in carrying out an abbreviated dialing function. CONSTITUTION: An LCD panel(400) displays character or numerals. A key input part(100) comprises abbreviated keys to execute an abbreviated dialing function. A memory(200) stores a plurality of phone numbers and abbreviated dialing numbers corresponding to the phone numbers. A CPU(300) is comprised of a cursor movement detection part(301), a cursor location control part(302) and a cursor inquiry detection part(303). The cursor movement detection part(301) detects the movement of the cursor. The cursor location control part(302) makes a phone number stored in the memory(200) displayed on the LCD panel(400) when a cursor movement is detected from the cursor movement detection part(301) and makes the cursor located at the most right digit displayed on the LCD panel(400).
