PURPOSE: A steam generator is provided to reduce time needed for generating steam and to minimize the heat loss, thereby improving thermal efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A steam generator includes a heating chamber(220) receiving water from an external water tank, and having a plurality of heat exchange pipes(222) installed slantingly, and receiving heat from a burner installed in the lower part; a steam storage chamber(240) connected with the upper part of the heating chamber with a connecting pipe(245), and storing steam; a main body of a combustion chamber(210) installed separately from the heating chamber and the steam storage chamber at an appropriate distance and having a plurality of holes(212) formed in the upper part and the lower part to discharge heat having been passed the inside and outer space of the heating chamber, and the steam storage chamber, and thereafter induced to the upper part of the steam storage chamber; and a combustion chamber cover(270) installed separately from the main body of the combustion chamber at an appropriate distance and having a plurality of inflow holes(274) formed in the upper part and the lower part to supply the outside air.
