PURPOSE: A green tea containing a concentrate of ginseng or red ginseng dried and steamed having excellent pharmacological effects is provided. The tea product has the unique flavor of ginseng and green tea leaves and is suitable for any physical constitution. CONSTITUTION: The tea is prepared by the steps of: (i) getting two kinds of ginseng(red ginseng) concentrate, thick concentrate containing more than 90% of saponin and thin ginseng concentrate containing 50% of water; (ii) spreading pulverized green tea leaves out and spraying a concentrate compound of ginseng, made by mixing 500g of the thick ginseng concentrate and 2000g of the thin ginseng concentrated well and adding 200g of condensed licorice to the mixed ginseng concentrate, on the tea leaves 3 times; (iii) leaving the tea leaves is sprayed for 1-2hr to let the ginseng concentrate be soaked into the leaves; and then (iv) first drying the leaves containing ginseng concentrate with light wind at 50deg.C and second drying at 98deg.C before cooling and packing the resulting tea product kept at low temperature.
