A HFC POWDER AND A MANUFACTURING METHOD OF THE SAME

The present invention relates to a method for preparing HfC powder comprising the following steps of: preparing mixed slurry including hafnium oxide (HfO_2) and a carbon source; drying the mixed slurry and preparing mixed powder; and heating the mixed powder, wherein the heating rate of the step of heating the mixed powder is 50 to 300°C/min. Homogeneous nano HfC powder having a microsize can be prepared by using hafnium oxide (HfO_2), a phenol resin or other carbon sources as start materials for preparing HfC powder; dissolving these materials in water or an organic solvent; drying again the resultant; and rising the temperature to the synthesizing temperature at a heating rate of 50-300°C/min which is rapider than the typical heating rate.
