PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tilt steering device of the so-called simplified tilt type, simple in structure and easily operated, having a memory mechanism. SOLUTION: An operating shaft rotated integrally with an operating lever 51 drives a second cam member to achieve memory lock and unlock. A second screw member for achieving memory lock and the operating lever 51 are engaged with each other in the turning direction with a play space S by an engagement projection 59 and a cutout recessed part 60. The operating lever 51 is operated within the range of the play space SD, whereby while memory lock is kept, tilt lock and unlock only are achieved. The operating lever 51 is operated over the play space S, thereby achieving memory lock and unlock. |
